Chinese Braised Chicken

Chinese Braised Chicken

Serving Size : 6 Preparation

1 cup onion -- chopped
3 pounds skinless boneless chicken breasts
1 cup water
1/2 cup soy sauce -- low sodium
2 tablespoons fresh ginger root -- chopped
2 tablespoons sugar
1 clove -- chopped

Place 1/2 cup chopped onion in bottom of crockpot liner. Add chicken. Be sure to remove ALL visible fat! Combine water, soy sauce, chopped ginger, sugar and garlic. Pour over all. Add the other 1/2 cup chopped onion. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
